  • Company registration number:
  • Registered office:
  • Operating address: KOFISI Kaskazi, 19 General Mathenge Drive, Westlands, Nairobi, Kenya

2. Acceptance Of These Terms

By registering with Tutor Republic, whether for yourself or on behalf of a child, you agree to be bound by these terms, alongside our Privacy & Data Policy. If you don’t agree with any part of these terms, please don’t complete registration.

3. Eligibility

  • Parents and guardians may register a child on their behalf, provided they have the legal authority to do so
  • Adults aged 18 or older may register for their own studies, including under KCSE Academy’s Last Chance track
  • All registrants must provide accurate information at the point of registration

4. Our Programmes

Tutor Republic offers live, online academic and skills programmes, including Grade School Tutoring, KCSE Academy, Heritage Swahili Academy, Skills Academy, and Future Skills Academy, each with its own structure and pricing as set out on our Pricing page and respective programme pages. We reserve the right to modify, add, or discontinue programmes, with reasonable notice to affected students where practical.

5. Registration & Admission Numbers

Registration requires a one-time, non-refundable fee, as set out on our Pricing page. On successful registration, a permanent admission number is issued to the student, which stays with them for the duration of their time with Tutor Republic, across any programme they later join.

An academic assessment is carried out after registration to determine appropriate placement. Full programme and subject fees are confirmed following this assessment, and may vary based on the student’s actual starting point.

6. Fees & Payment

Fees are as published on our Pricing page and confirmed at the point of enrollment into a specific programme or track. Payment is processed securely through Paystack, supporting M-Pesa, Airtel Money, and card payments for local families, and card payments (charged in KES) for diaspora families.

7. Lipa Pole Pole

Where available, Lipa Pole Pole allows fees to be paid in smaller instalments, daily, weekly, or monthly, at a fixed premium disclosed to you before you commit, rather than the full term amount upfront. Full details are available on our Lipa Pole Pole page. Missed instalments may result in a pause in class access until payment is brought current.

8. Refund Policy

Registration fees are non-refundable. Unused tuition for a term already paid in full is refundable, calculated on a pro-rata basis for classes not yet delivered. To request a refund, contact registration@tutorrepublic.co.ke.

9. Academic Assessments

Every student completes a diagnostic academic assessment before formal class placement. This assessment determines the appropriate starting point and, for KCSE-level programmes, informs whether Per-Subject, Term Pass, or Last Chance tracks are the right fit. Assessment outcomes are shared with the parent or adult learner directly.

10. Class Conduct & Recordings

Students and, where applicable, their parents or guardians agree to engage respectfully with teachers and fellow students. Classes may be recorded for quality assurance and revision purposes where consent has been given, as described in our Privacy & Data Policy. Unauthorised recording, sharing, or distribution of class content by students or parents is not permitted.

11. Parent & Guardian Responsibilities

Where registering on behalf of a child, the parent or guardian is responsible for:

  • The accuracy of information provided, including special needs, medical notes, and emergency contact details
  • Ensuring the student has appropriate access to a device and internet connection for live classes
  • Keeping payment and Lipa Pole Pole instalments current
  • Updating us promptly if any provided information changes materially

12. Adult Learners & The Last Chance Track

Adults registering for their own studies, including under KCSE Academy’s Last Chance track, take on the responsibilities otherwise held by a parent or guardian, including accuracy of information, payment, and conduct.

13. Intellectual Property

All course materials, recordings, and content provided through Tutor Republic remain the intellectual property of B-House Limited or its licensed content partners. Enrolled students may access this content for personal study purposes only, and may not reproduce, redistribute, or use it commercially without written permission.

14. Third-Party Services

Our platform relies on third-party services, including Paystack for payments, WhatsApp for community messaging, and Mailchimp for opt-in marketing communications. Your use of these integrated services is also subject to each provider’s own terms and privacy practices.

15. Limitation Of Liability

While we take reasonable care in delivering our programmes, Tutor Republic does not guarantee specific academic outcomes or examination results. Our responsibility is to provide structured, TSC-accredited teaching, consistent scheduling, and honest progress reporting, not a promised grade. To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, B-House Limited’s liability arising from your use of our services is limited to the fees you’ve actually paid us.

16. Termination & Suspension

We may suspend or terminate access to classes where fees are significantly overdue, where conduct violates these terms, or where continued participation poses a safety concern to other students or staff. Where practical, we’ll provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue first.

17. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. We encourage resolving concerns directly with us in the first instance via info@tutorrepublic.co.ke. Where a dispute cannot be resolved directly, it will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.

18. Changes To These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time, reflecting changes to our programmes, pricing structures, or legal obligations. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
