KCSE Academy
(Form 4).
The Year That Decides The Most, Taught By Teachers Who Take It As Seriously As You Do.
Focused, exam-ready KCSE preparation, live, structured, and built around exactly what the exam demands. KCSE Academy serves Kenya’s outgoing 8-4-4 system; the final national KCSE exam sits in November 2027. If your child is in the CBC system (Grade 4–10), see Grade School Tutoring instead.

The Reality Of This Year.
Over the last four completed KCSE cohorts, close to 3.6 million students sat the exam. Only 17 in every 100 went on to reach a university degree programme. That gap isn’t about ability, it’s about access to properly accredited teaching, structured preparation, and honest feedback on where a student actually stands.
The final 8-4-4 cohort sits its exam in November 2027. KCSE Academy exists to close the gap for every one of them, and for anyone still working toward this exam on their own timeline, on realistic terms: consistent teaching and structure, working toward steady, credible improvement.
Who This Is For.
Three different situations, three different tracks, one standard of teaching:
- Current Form 4 students, still in school during the day, who need focused support on specific subjects alongside their regular timetable
- Repeaters and grade-improvers who can give a full day, not enrolled in a school between 8am and 3pm, and want the complete candidate slate covered properly
- Anyone returning to sit or repeat KCSE who can’t give a full day, working adults, people who dropped out, anyone for whom evenings and weekends are the only realistic option
Find the section below that matches your situation, each one has its own price and its own answer to “is this actually for me.”
Subjects Covered.
KCSE candidates sit a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 9 subjects. Mathematics, English, and Kiswahili are compulsory for every candidate; choose the rest below.

| Kiswahili | |
| Optional Subjects: Choose the Rest (Minimum 4 more, up to 9 total) | |

Registration is KES 2,000, once, across every Tutor Republic programme, never repeated, never waived.
The KNEC examination fee (~KES 7,200) is paid directly to KNEC and is separate from Tutor Republic fees.
How Classes Are Delivered.
Track 1: Per-Subject (Evenings & Saturdays)
For students still in school during the day. This supplements what your child is already learning; it doesn’t replace it. Take one, two, or three subjects; most students take two.
| Format | Price |
|---|---|
| Group Class (max 20 students) | KES 3,000/subject/month (KES 9,000/term) |
| One-on-One | KES 5,000/subject/month (KES 15,000/term) |
Track 2: Term Pass (Full Daytime, 8am to 3pm)
For repeaters and grade-improvers who can commit the whole day. Not a supplement, this is the candidate’s entire school day, covering up to 8 subjects, the whole slate they’ll sit in November. For most students in this position, it’s the only genuine full-time KCSE preparation available anywhere.
| Format | Price |
|---|---|
| Full-Day, All Subjects (up to 8) | KES 18,000/term |
Track 3: Last Chance (Evenings & Weekends)
Last Chance is for anyone sitting KCSE for the final time under 8-4-4; current repeaters, past dropouts wanting to complete their exam, or adults who never finished 8-4-4 the first time. For anyone repeating or returning to KCSE who can’t give a full day, working adults, people who dropped out, anyone for whom this is genuinely the last realistic shot at sitting the exam on their own terms. Same TSC-accredited teaching standard as every other track, timed for a different life.
| Format | Price |
|---|---|
| Full Retake (7–9 subjects) | KES 20,000/term |
| Subject Pass (1–4 subjects) | KES 12,000/term |
Practical Sessions
Science candidates only, KES 5,000/term. Scheduled at school mid-terms, plus the first two weeks of the April and August holidays, when partner-school laboratories are actually free. Covers apparatus handling, set-ups, observation, and recording, the part of a science grade that can’t be taught on a screen. Shown as its own line on every quotation, never bundled into a headline price.
| Format | Price |
|---|---|
| Science practicals (Term Pass & Per-Subject candidates) | KES 5,000/term |
Lipa Pole Pole, Pay Gradually.
Every track above is available on Lipa Pole Pole, spread your fees daily, weekly, or monthly instead of paying a full term at once, same total either way.
- Per-Subject and Term Pass: roughly 12% added to the term price (a KES 18,000 Term Pass becomes KES 20,160 on Lipa Pole Pole)
- Last Chance: roughly 27.5% added, reflecting the longer credit period this specific track carries
Registration is KES 2,000, once, across every Tutor Republic programme, never repeated, never waived.
What Makes KCSE Academy Different.
- TSC-accredited teachers who have taught the current syllabus, many with experience from top Kenyan schools
- KICD-aligned, structured progression through each subject, with revision access always available
- Monthly progress reports that track exam-readiness, not just attendance
- Full access to The Vault for late-night, exam-week questions
- Free weekly Digital Skills Saturday class, included automatically
- Flexible payment through Lipa Pole Pole, across every track
After The Exam, What Comes Next.
Finishing KCSE isn’t the finish line, the wait for results and university placement can stretch for several months with no structure at all. Our Future Skills Academy and Skills Academy are both built for that window, so the wait becomes preparation, not idle time.
Frequently Asked Questions.
Is this a replacement for school, or extra support alongside it?
Depends on the track. Per-Subject is extra support alongside school. Term Pass and Last Chance are the whole programme, built for students who aren’t in school during the day at all.
I'm older and didn't get the KCSE result I needed the first time. Is this for me?
Yes. If you can give a full day, Term Pass covers your whole slate. If you can’t, Last Chance runs evenings and weekends at the same TSC-accredited standard. Both exist for exactly your situation.
What's the difference between Term Pass and Last Chance, really?
Same goal, different availability. Term Pass is full-daytime, 8am to 3pm, for anyone who can commit the whole day, at a flat KES 18,000/term. Last Chance is evenings and weekends, for working adults or anyone who can’t; priced by how many subjects you’re retaking: KES 20,000/term for a Full Retake (7–9 subjects), or KES 12,000/term for a Subject Pass (1–4 subjects). Same deadline, different lives, different price to match.
How does Lipa Pole Pole actually work?
You pay in smaller daily, weekly, or monthly amounts instead of one lump sum, at a fixed premium added to the term price, about 12% for Per-Subject and Term Pass, about 27.5% for Last Chance. The total is fixed upfront, no surprises partway through the term.
Can classes include past-paper practice?
Yes, past-paper work and structured revision are core to the curriculum across every track, particularly in one-on-one sessions.
